Local Storage

Your clipboard history is stored in a local database on your Mac using Apple's SwiftData framework. The data is encrypted and protected by your system's security measures. You have complete control over this data and can clear it at any time through the app's settings.

Excluded Apps

ClipboardV allows you to exclude specific apps (such as password managers) from monitoring. When an excluded app is active, ClipboardV will not capture clipboard content. The list of excluded apps is stored locally and never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions

ClipboardV requires the following system permissions to function:

  • Clipboard Access: To read and monitor clipboard content
  • Accessibility (optional): To detect the active application for the excluded apps feature

These permissions are only used for the app's core functionality and never to transmit data externally.
